The morning of New Year's Day, I passed Pause Coffee as I always do on the way to my Red Line El station. One window had been shattered, and milk crates surrounded the mess in what I assumed was the coffee shop's way of blocking pedestrians from stepping onto the broken glass. The next day, this board had been installed in the window, and all of the broken glass cleaned up. It's strange to pass it by and see this bulky board where a full glass window, replete with Pause's logo, once was.
