A Year in Reflection

So it is done. My "Year in Pictures" project has reached completion. I was thinking that the New Year's Eve picture would be of fellow partygoers or some fireworks, but when I saw the White Castle wrap...well, call it artistic inspiration :-).

It's been a cool project. I look over a lot of the pictures and can see visual reminders of certain moments, states of mind, moods. I also realized that I'm not much of a photographer, and I'm okay with that, with just being a low-grade hobbyist. It really was about the process of documenting my world, less so about the final result.

For 2010, I'll start a new blog. It will still feature photographs, but with a monthly written commentary. And I won't be updating on a daily basis; once a week seems like a more reasonable and less stressful goal. Check back soon for the link, and thanks for joining me in all of this. Happy New Year to all!

I enjoyed watching your year go by in pictures, as much as I enjoyed taking my own! I am excited for your new project.

I was hoping that "A Year in Pictures" would somehow slip into "A Year or Maybe a While Longer, Who's Counting, in Pictures." I looked forward to the new pictures, and checked in just about every day. I'm glad you've got a new, wonderful project in the works, but I will miss this one!
